  • What is a DMC – Your Local Expert - Destination Management Companies (DMCs) are experts in event management who are based in their country, providing in depth local knowledge, well established relationships and strong buying powers with hoteliers and suppliers, constant research into new programme ideas, up-to-date information on destination and hotel developments, assistance with language difficulties and cultural barriers, as well as providing assistance on the ground with the logistics of your event.
  • Tailor-Made events and services include – assistance with meetings, conferences, conventions, congresses, incentive travel, sight seeing tours, team building events and activities, transfers, restaurant and venue bookings, hostesses, teaser campaigns, local gift ideas, audio video assistance, custom clearance and venue finding,

  • DMC ENTRY CRITERIA - DMC Risk Management & Assurance Checklist
  • Business Requirements: the DMC must have
  • A minimum 3 years in business delivering core services in the MICE industry.
  • A licensed business or corporation.
  • A permanent inbound/DMC department
  • A permanent, professional and physical office location.
  • Financial Requirements:
  • The DMC can provide a bank credit reference providing proof of solid financial standing
  • Operational Requirements:
  • The DMC will acknowledge receipt of request for proposal within 24 hours and provide mutually agreeable due date for response
  • The DMC will provide one point of contact from proposal stage through to actual event
  • The DMC will provide 24 hour phone support on site
  • Contracts:
  • The DMC will provide clear and concise Terms and Conditions, with payment terms and cancellation policy
  • References:
  • The DMC can provide 3 letters of recommendation from local hotels and 3 letters from comparable clients
  • Safety/Insurance Requirements:
  • The DMC holds Commercial Public/General Liability Insurance,
  • All accommodation, transport and other services and facilities supplied by the DMC (whether directly or through sub-contractors) will comply with all national, local and international laws, regulations and codes of practice relating to safety and hygiene
  • The DMC holds any requisite operating licence/operating certificate issued by the local tourist board or authority
  • The DMC will at all times be covered by a comprehensive policy of public liability insurance and will ensure that all sub-contractors are adequately insured by reputable public liability insurers
  • The DMC will exercise care and skill in the provisions of its services and in the selection and inspection of sub-contractors whose services it contracts on behalf of the Company and the Company's clients
  • The DMC will obtain copies of operating licences, fire safety certificates and policies of insurance covering all accommodation, transport and other services which it selects, provides or contracts for the use of the Company and the Company's clients
